Oakley Hall Hotel - Basingstoke

Amazing hotel with free wi-fi, a lovely bar area, and a fantastic restaurant. I highly recommend visiting!

Its location is particularly good & amazing, not far from a large park, Oakley Hall for the first time on Sunday and a coffee shop in an upmarket garden centre. The hotel's staff are very polite.

The hotel was relaxing and delightful with exceptional personnel with lovely service from all of the staff. The main bar was a delightful surprise.

The hotel is in a beautiful location in Hampshire, we enjoyed walking around the grounds. The courtyard room was very comfortable and private, and a good size with everything you would need.

The breakfast was very disappointing. It was described in the menu and on their website as being made to order, however on the day we were there it was a buffet, missing many of the items on the menu. We asked at reception and were told that when the hotel was full they opted for a buffet breakfast instead, but that you were able to order from the menu if you wanted. None of the waiters made this clear, and the service was pretty poor.

The hotel was in an absolutely picturesque area, the staff were all without exception polite, helpful and always smiling, nothing was an imposition to them. We will definately stay there again.

There was nothing negative about our stay there only the cold weather and the staff would have changed that for us if they could have.

The courtyard room was exceptional, especially liked the private parking outside the room for security. Plus the turn down service was nice as it was unexpected.

When arriving we unpacked car, when in reception where were told to repack the car and drive to courtyard block. It would be nice if either there was a sign saying checkin prior to unloading lugage or maybe a note of the book instructions.

I had been to conferences at this hotel but never stayed. The accomodation is as good as the conference rooms, with the same quality and attention to detail in everything. The house is stylish - and airy without being like an aircraft hanger as so many ex stately homes can be. The restaurant serves...  

From the moment you enter Oakley Hall you are greeted with the elegance and luxury of a by-gone era combined masterfully with modern chic. From the glittering chandeliers, sumptuous library and dining areas, down...  

Friendly staff, beautiful location, good food, very well maintained grounds and very comfortable bed.

Why only one chair in a double room? Very difficult when you order room service and one person has to eat perched on the edge of the (fairly high) bed. Not too keen on the outside walk to breakfast when the weather not too good.

The food portions for the a l carte menu were inadequate , nice food but not enough

We stayed in Courtyard Room 14. Our room was just amazing. Spotlessly clean. Every possible amenitity down to trouser press. Beautiful modern bathroom, big bath, heated floor. Fruit supplied which was a lovely touch. Looking out our window...  

Beautiful grounds with a great golf course nearby. Some staff lacked attention during breakfast service.

Lovely setting. An historic country house set in acres of lawn and farmland. Our stay in the "courtyard" clocktower was novel. Very comfortable, clean, modern with all amenities. The staff were most attentive and polite....
